We are looking for editors, project managers and collaborators to join our teams in Berlin and Vienna! You will support us in making our next printed yearbook, upcoming exhibitions and events and new products we'll be developing together.
Although the positions below are described in detail, we're open for any further input and support. You know how to write flawless funding applications? You are great in sales and would like to convince art-related brands and companies to book an ad in our next publication? Write us and you'll be part of our upcoming big projects.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTSApplicants should be interested interest in art, design, theory, research, exhibition making and organisational work, willing to be open to collaborate within a decentralised team. Applicants should possess excellent language skills in English and German. Spanish or other languages is a plus, though not required. Recent graduates or current students are invited to apply.
TIME FRAME Starting in July-August
PAYMENT Our team produces ENTKUNSTUNG each year on a volunteer basis—except in case of successfully funded projects (exhibitions or similar) we're therefore not able to remunerate your work with money, but can offer you incentives, like press tickets to art events or similar.
LOCATION Applicants should preferably be based in Berlin and Vienna, respectively; however, this is not strictly required and we are happy to expand our team/collaborators around the world.

ABOUT US ENTKUNSTUNG is an independent forum for art criticism and practice based in Berlin and Vienna but with a strong international vocation. We are a curatorial, artistic and theoretical platform that seeks to map contemporary art discourses that try to bring order to the plurality and disorder created by art practices. It promotes the need to rethink and to reformulate traditional concepts and theories in order to comprehend nowadays’ art and culture. We seek to compare, to contrast, to reflect and to give some tools to analyse and understand the reasons, methods, medium(s) and the history through which artists communicate their vision of the world in an aesthetically way.
MANAGING EDITOR, PROJECT MANAGER | BERLIN / VIENNA
DUTIES As our Managing Editor, you will be an integral to leading our editing efforts for the upcoming online issues, yearbook and exhibitions and events projects. You will primarily run day-to-day tasks and management associated with research, concept development, tracking submissions, coordinating the editing and copy editing processes, overseeing the yearbook production with the editors and project managing the project publication timeline.
PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS Applicants should have reliable organisational and communication skills, strong conceptual thinking, time management skills, and attention to detail.
COMMITMENT 5-10 hours/per week during editorial process and 1-3 hours/per week following publication
PR AND SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER | BERLIN / VIENNA
DUTIES You will run ENTKUNSTUNG’s media handles, strategic media outreach and help organise exhibitions and events like performances, live electronic music acts, readings, launch events and other gatherings in connection. You will also be expected to coordinate events in alignment with distribution streamlines and local bookstores, and to additionally communicate with artists, as needed, draft press releases and reach out to institutions and media.
PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS Applicants should have reliable organisational skills and a keen sense of social media community management, and should be excited to connect with our online and physical audience!
DISTRIBUTION AND PRODUCT MANAGER | BERLIN / VIENNA
DUTIES You will coordinate distribution plans with bookstores worldwide, work to expand our network of stores, and grow our reader base. You will also help us developing, producing and releasing new products.
PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTSApplicants should have reliable organizational skills. Applicants should be excited to connect with local bookselling communities and producers in Berlin, Vienna and especially beyond.

CONTRIBUTING EDITORS WRITING | WORLDWIDE
DUTIES As a contributing editor, you will join our growing network of contributing editors tasked with soliciting submissions from exciting new writers, pitching ideas and editing selected pieces (though not required). You will also help the journal’s teams around the world to create partnerships with art and literary institutions, creative writing/photography schools worldwide, with the goal to help our team expand our network of emerging and established artists and editors! For all of the aforementioned position, we also are accepting related interns positions in either Berlin or Vienna. We encourage students to apply to join our growing teams!
